Holidays

There has been a lot more to my life than just IVF the past few months. I've been blessed to do many fun things with my favorite people in the world: Family. Here's a recap of the last few months.

In early November, I went to Texas and toured a Nuclear Power Plant for work (yes, my job is awesome). While stopping off in the raging metropolis of Wadsworth Texas, I hopped on over to San Antonio for some girl time with Camille and Mom. It was lovely.

My mom and I getting burgers at the Gristmill in Gruene. What else would we eat on a girls weekend? (Confession: I've had a small obsession with burgers lately, one I should get over quickly)

The girls visiting the San Antonio Temple. It's pretty - they all are.

Our next stop was San Francisco for Thanksgiving with the McLaws family. The McLaws family is fun - time spent with the whole lot is always action packed, loud, and crazy. We love it. Stuart has even acclimated to the chaos of the McLaws clan and I think the verdict is: he likes it!

Russ, Camille, Me, and Stu visiting Santa Cruz after Thanksgiving dinner. If I could live anywhere (and money was no option) you might just find me in Santa Cruz.

And Finally, I spent the holidays at the Maxfield house in SLC where we had such a wonderful holiday. Presents, food, family, music. What more could you ask for? Notice my new blog header? It was a gift from my talented Sister-in-Law Caitlin. She knew the way to my heart and now I don't have blog envy. What is especially cool is that she has captured the essence of my blog title. B Sides is actually a musical term that refers to the back side of a record -- the songs that are left off the main release and included for your additional listening pleasure. I like to think of this blog in such a way -- the thoughts and expressions that I don't share in person. There you have it.

Later, my family congregated in Midway Utah for some winter activities which included snowshoeing and skiing.

Family is just what the doctor orders when times are tough. I am really grateful for such wonderful people who remind me that I am loved and watched over. They really are Angels on earth. I am blessed.

Happy 2011. Here's to another New Year full of endless dreams and possibilities. I do believe I'll get to see a few. My time will come.

  1. I was wondering who made your blog header! I thought it was Caitlin! So glad I got to see you over the break, for like 5 seconds. :)
