Bath

Bath is a picture-perfect town about 2-hours west of London. In around 43 A.D. the Romans flocked to Bath and began building temples and bath houses around the natural hot springs. In the 18th Century it was populated with poets and novelists including Jane Austen and Charles Dickens. Bath is also famous for its architecture of very palatial homes built form the local limestone. Some of the very prettiest gardens lie just on the outskirts of the city in rolling hills. Did I mention that I sort of love this place?

You can see why.

At the top of Prior Park, a landscape garden with one of the world's 3 Palladium bridges at the bottom. The town of Bath in the background.
