London: a tribute

We packed in just about every possible tourist destination into our short time in London. It wasn't long enough. If London could hear me, this is what I'd say:

• Thank you for your free museums, especially the Tate Modern, which are easy on budget-conscious travelers and very inspirational, educational, diverse, enjoyable, and many more adjectives.
• Thank you for your countless, perfectly manicured, and busy parks and gardens. We wish we lived near one of them.
• Thank you for your quirky street food of which we ate plentifully including fish and chips, baguette sandwiches, and the Asian fusion sensation that fed our hungry tummys: Wagamamas.
• Thank you for Marks and Spencer...home to my favorite candy: Percy Pigs. You made my day.
• Thank you for having cool, hidden historical sites, churches, parks, and monuments around every corner and for making sure visitors NEVER get bored.
• Thank you for your busy street markets where we can buy everything from vintage door knobs to Dr. Martens from the 90s.
• Thank you for your fabulous public transportation that is clean, fast, and dependable and for kindly reminding us to mind the gap each and every time.
• Thank you for your beautiful river around which everything else gravitates.
• And thank you for being the best host and for living up to every memory I ever had of you...
• I miss you terribly.
